Greenwich Village Apartments, Virginia
Served as Structural Engineer of Record and Special Inspector for three, four-story wood framed apartment buildings with central corridors, elevators, and secured access. Of the 224 units (240,000 sf) 60% of the units are one-bedrooms and 40% are two-bedrooms to accommodate the demand in the market today, Also designed a single-story clubhouse/fitness center for the complex--a single-story 5,800 square foot building on one level that functions as a welcome and leasing center (1,100 square feet), a Club Room with meeting space and a full demonstration Kitchen (2,900 square feet), and a Fitness Center (900 square feet). Outdoor amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, spa, and kitchen with 1,000 square feet of covered seating space. Construction cost was $27M.
