Speight Marshall Francis served as the Structural Engineer of Record for renovations and modifications to the existing historical high-rise building built in 1913. Formerly the Headquarters for Virginia Electric & Power Company (now Dominion Energy) the building, located at 700 East Franklin Street was transformed into a mixed-use development that includes commercial, office & The Edison Apartments. Renovations included the 14-story, 65,000 square-foot tower, and the 7-story, 111,000 square foot annex.
