Green Mountain Coffee Roasters
Java lovers around the world consume K-cup coffee from Keurig Green Mountain Coffee Roasters facility in Windsor, Virginia.
Speight Marshall Francis served as the Structural Engineer of Record and Agent 1 Special Inspector for a coffee manufacturing and distribution facility build-out within an existing 330,000 square foot warehouse space originally constructed in 2005. The facility was ‘built out’ in two phases allowing the facility to produce up to 95 Million K-cup for Keurig coffee makers per year. A new, two-story 35,000 sf mezzanine was also constructed within the facility to house staff services, mechanical spaces infrastructure. Many of the pieces of processing equipment required elevated platforms and a specialized foundation system which we completed for the design and inspection. The new facility employs over 800 workers.
