Originally completed in 1950, Mayflower Apartments was Virginia’s tallest at the time; today it is still one of the few high-rise apartments near the Virginia Beach oceanfront. 

Speight Marshall Francis provided structural engineering and Agent 1 Special Inspections services for various interior and exterior improvements to the 1950’s oceanfront apartment building and parking garage. Exterior renovations included the overall exterior of the building, connected parking garage, ramps and stairs, one-story retail area, sunshades, trellis, gazebos, and signage while interior improvements included common corridors, main lobby, and clubhouse. The vibrant, fresh renovations created a modern beach club to the iconic tower.
