Victory Family Branch YMCA
Orginially constructed in 2003 and with huge community need we also designed the addition in 2006.
Speight Marshall Francis served as the Structural Engineer of Record for this new single-story, 46,000 square foot recreation center which opened to the public in 2003. The center includes a gymnasium, wellness center, natatorium, childcare center, lockers, administrative/offices, and storage space.
With the popularity of the Victory Family Branch YMCA came the need to expand facilities and add programs with a 14,075 square foot addition to their facility in 2006. The phase 2 addition includes a 3,400 square foot expansion to the existing wellness center, a new 1,350 square foot aerobics studio, a 1,000 square foot family activity center, and a 2,500 square foot teen center with a mezzanine. An adjacent suite houses a 3,060 square foot physical therapy rehabilitation center with treatment areas, workout space, offices, and connectivity to the wellness center expansion. This suite is run by Mary Immaculate Hospital and has its own dedicated entrance which complements the main entrance to the existing YMCA facility.
